Detroit, MI Stop 2

After leaving Chicago, we drove 4 1/2 hours to Hamtramck to see our special grandchildren.  We love changing our names to BayBay and Bampa when we are with them.  Their sweetness and wonderful hugs make our hearts smile.  Blessings they are for sure for sure.....

We took the two darlings back with us to our hotel so we could swim, but they were so tired we had to wait until naps in the car were over.  Becky and Neil have just bought their first home and were busy painting, so it was a good time to take them with us.

Jonah was ready to start his first day of full day preschool the next day, and Pat and I were glad to help out around the house and do errands for Becky and Neil.  Clara came home to be with us at lunch time and then we celebrated Jonah's 4th Birthday a few weeks early.  BayBay and Bampa will be in Maine during Jonah's 4th Birthday but wanted him to have his present early........we think he likes it....but it will take some getting used to.  Jonah will be using his supersonic speed on this soon we know...

And a pink one needs to be bought very soon for this little one too.....

Day 2:  Pat and I continued to enjoy time in Hamtramck at Becky and Neil's.  We anxiously awaited for the kids to get home from their preschools.  As we waited we made homemade mac and cheese and cookies.  All children need comfort food after the first few days of school.  We parents and grandparents need it too. :)    Jonah had his Karate class, which the teacher invited us (forced us) to participate in ....I will not publish the pics of Pat and I in the class....but we do think the one with mom and dad are extra sweet.  Clara Lynn really got into the class.. :)
Bampa had bubble time with the kiddos and Bay Bay had a hard time saying goodbye to them all.   We are so honored and blessed to have such good grandchildren.  thank you Lord...
